The Irish American Heritage Museum is centrally located at 370 Broadway in the heart of downtown Albany, the Capital of New York State, at the intersection of major interstate highways between NYC/Montreal and Boston – Buffalo/Cleveland/Chicago.

Parking is available on both sides of Broadway. Please do not park in the private lots behind the Museum as you might be towed.

We are open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m., closed Monday and Tuesday.

The Museum is a member of the North American Reciprocal Museum Association.


From the South:
Take the New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) North to Albany, Exit 23. Merge onto I-787 North toward Downtown Albany/Rensselaer/Troy. Take Exit 4 toward US-9N/US-20 W. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn left, going under the overpass and then bearing right onto Broadway. You will immediately see “The Irish American Heritage” signage at 370 Broadway on the left.

From the North:
Take Interstate 87 (commonly known as “The Northway”) south to Albany. Merge onto RT-7 Extension via Exit 7 toward Troy/Cohoes. Merge onto I-787 S toward Albany/Watervliet. Take US-9N/Clinton Avenue Exit 4B. Turn left onto Broadway and continue through several stoplights, eventually passing State Street and Hudson Avenue. You will see “The Irish American Heritage” signage at 370 Broadway on the right just past Hudson Avenue.

From the East:
Take Interstate 90 to Exit B1 Toward Rt-9 — Albany/Hudson. Merge onto I-787 S via Exit 6A toward Albany. Take the US-9N /Clinton Ave. Exit 4B. Turn left onto Broadway and continue through several stoplights, eventually passing State Street and Hudson Avenue. You will see “The Irish American Heritage” signage at 370 Broadway on the right just past Hudson Avenue.

From the West:
Take the New York State Thruway (Interstate 87) east to Albany Exit 23. Merge onto I-787 N via Exit 23 toward downtown Albany/Rensselaer/Troy. Take Exit 4 toward US-9N/US-20 W. Keep right at the fork in the ramp. Turn left, going under the overpass and then bearing right onto Broadway. You will immediately see “The Irish American Heritage” signage at 370 Broadway on the left.
