IAHM Congratulates Katherine Kalinowski

Some time back, the Irish American Heritage Museum announced the first IAHM Regional Irish Cultural Ambassador, Katherine Kalinowski from Arlington (Texas), was to receive a scholarship award of full tuition and a stipend for traveling and lodging to an immersive, regional Irish cultural heritage event. Katherine came from her Texas home to New York State, where she participated in Catskills Irish Arts Week in East Durham (NY). Katherine, who is very active in Texas’ robust Irish cultural scene, is an alumna of O’Flaherty’s Irish Music Retreat in Midlothian (Texas).

Katherine was absolutely delightful; she so well deserved the designation of IAHM’s first Regional Irish Cultural Ambassador.  Katherine repeatedly expressed her gratitude to the IAHM community, and for IAHM’s giving her the opportunity to experience and share her love of Irish culture and music in another region in the United States.

IAHM’s Regional Irish Cultural Scholarship Program was initially funded by an anonymous benefactor of the Irish American Heritage Museum. Please keep watching: IAHM will announce another scholarship opportunity in the months ahead.

Those interested in contributing / underwriting this fantastic cultural program are encouraged to call IAHM’s Executive Director Michael C. Clarke at (518) 427-1916.
