The Irish American Heritage Museum is proud to partner with Metroland Now, and host performances FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC throughout the year as part of the First Friday Albany program.
On June 6, 2025 at 6:00 PM, CURRAGH - a powerhouse and energetic Irish band from the Capital District - will perform at the Irish American Heritage Museum's Flanagan Theater. Curragh is Kara Doyle (uilleann pipes, whistle), Eric Everson (bouzouki), Peter Jones (fiddle), George Ward (singer, concertina, accordion) and Max Carmichael (singer, flute,guitar, banjo,bouzouki, tin whistle).
First Friday Albany features new art, live music, and special events on the first Friday of every month at dozens of galleries, retailers, and nonprofits throughout the City of Albany. First Friday has always provided an economic boost to the city, and organizers are hoping to grow exponentially, especially post- pandemic, when our artists and small businesses need it the most.
