THE IRISH AMERICAN HERITAGE MUSEUM IS PROUD TO HOST THE SCREENING OF "AMERICAN WAKE“ ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026.
"American Wake” is a locally produced independent film based on a true story: a young woman in post-famine Ireland is forced to choose between staying in Ireland or immigrating to America. The film details the effect of that decision on the young woman’s rural peasant family.
Doors open 5:30 PM / Museum Tour 6:00 PM. Movie screening begins at 6:30 PM, followed by Q/A with writer/director and cast.
