Kevin McKrell’s artwork exhibition "Old Men in Hats" is one of the most exciting to grace the walls of the Irish American Heritage Museum in years. Those who have not yet seen these brilliant pieces: do so in the next few weeks, while they are still at the Museum. We are still tapping our feet and singing Kevin's music, since he opened the exhibition to an energetic, sold-out concert in early March.
On May 24, 2025 at 7:00 PM, you are welcome to join the IAHM Community in thanking Kevin for his generosity and talents, with an evening of some brilliant new songs from McKrell, Orsini and Greene.
McKRELL, ORSINI and GREENE
Kevin McKrell (guitar, vocals) is a masterful entertainer who has played festival stages, clubs and concert halls around the globe, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Falconridge Folk Fest, and The Milwaukee Irish Festival to name but a few. Kevins original songs have become folk staples throughout the English speaking world, and his wicked sense of humor is nearly as legendary as his songs. As stated in the Daily Gazette: "Kevin McKrell entertained in wry blarney, sang Ould Sod sentiment in “Dublin Town” and “Home in Donegal” and, most impressively, crooned his original songs of John Prine-like insight and effortless musicality."
Frank Orsini has been one of the most prominent and sought after acoustic musicians in Upstate New York. He plays violin, viola and mandolin. A versatile fiddler, singer and seasoned ensemble player, Frank has been on numerous recordings and been a member of many established groupS, including the Whipper-Snappers, the Upstate Bluegrass Band, The Bluebillies, the High Flyers, and The McKrells.
Arlin Greene (bass and vocals) is the son of country/bluegrass legend Smokey Greene. For forty plus years, Arlin has toured throughout the U.S. and Canada. In high demand as a session player, Arlin has performed with banjo legend Bill Keith, Dan Tyminski (O Brother, Where Art Thou), Northeast Bluegrass, and The McKrells.
