Sea Marks by Gardner McKay presented by The Heritage Players. A chance meeting sparks a long-distance romance between a man and a woman from seemingly opposite worlds: a fisherman from a remote island off the west coast of Ireland and woman from Wales, working for a small publishing firm in Liverpool. The play has been produced in New York City in six Off-Broadway productions; the Players Theatre ("Best Off-Broadway Play", New York Times) the Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC), and other theatres.
Michael O'Farrell (Colm Primrose) has acted with several theater groups in the capital district and beyond, including ACT, SCP, Callaloo Theater, Classical Theater Guild, Caffe Lena, Home Made Theater, Schuylerville Community Players, Spa Village Players and Stillwater Players among others.
Kathleen Carey (Timothea Stiles) is a leading light on Capital Region stages and the recipient of the Berkshire Theatre Critics Association award for Best Actress in 2021 for her portrayal of Margie in “Good People” by David Lindsay-Abaire at The Theater Barn. She has also appeared in productions with Albany Civic Theater, the Schenectady Civic Playhouse, Curtain Call Theatre in Latham, and Hubbard Hall in Cambridge.
Sandi Dollinger (Director)Playwright, performer, professor, and director, Dollinger was a founding member of Rosebuds Theatricals, and has been involved in local theater for many years! This past July, Sandi traveled to Tcziew, Poland, to teach Theatre Arts. to 7 - 17-year-olds. Now back at the Museum, she is honored to be working with such gifted actors as Michael and Kathleen, alongside the welcoming museum staff.
Gordon McKay (1932-2001) was an American actor, artist, college instructor, author and a professional skipper. He received a Drama Critics Circle Award for one of his plays, and three National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grants for writing.
